What a great spot for a coffee and a chat: So much so they even have a designated couch reserved for coffee and conversation!

It has the vibes of a Byron Bay general store with a range of local produce, with daily grind clothing, skateboards, and essential oils.

Love the cake, croissant, and sandwich collection.

Wide range of GF / Vego / Vegan options.

I called in again after school drop off and this is definitely my type of place. The finishing touches have created a warm, homely ambience that invites you to linger over your coffee.

Soft furnishings facilitate a quiet atmosphere and good acoustics, so you can comfortably catch up with your neighbour over lunch, or snuggle in with a book and hide away from the rush of the everyday.

Produce has been sourced from local South Australia businesses – that includes merchandise from local small businesses to purchase. It really is a general store by name and nature!

Very excited for this new business and to dine there when it is fully established!

I grabbed my morning coffee from @mclarenflatgeneralstore and checked out their progress… they are about 70% done!

The vision for this refurbishment is clear and I cannot wait to come here on a regular basis on my own, because it has all the ingredients for a beautiful solo dining experience: friendly and welcoming staff, peaceful ambience, local suppliers, quality service and delicious offerings.

The decor is warm and inviting – there will be options for indoor or outdoor dining – and being in an older homestyle building, the acoustics are conducive to conversations with a friends or a quiet moment to yourself.

I can see this will be the heart of McLaren Flat in no time at all!
