Right next door to a cluster of Allied Health consulting rooms on King William Road, I Have Time is the kind of neighbourhood café that makes you want to linger — which, given the name, feels entirely intentional.

The space
Eclectic, warm and genuinely characterful. The quirky walls covered in clocks set the tone immediately — this is not your generic suburban café fit-out. Seating is a mix of typical café tables and something rarer: a lounge and wingback chairs that invite you to actually settle in. It’s that soft furnishing detail that matters acoustically, because the room has wooden floors — usually a recipe for noise — yet on our visit the space was full and remained impressively quiet throughout.

The acoustic experience
Full capacity, low noise. That’s the headline. The combination of low room capacity and soft furnishings appears to be doing meaningful acoustic work, offsetting what wooden floors would typically do to a space. For anyone with hearing loss, tinnitus, or simply a preference for conversation over noise, this is a genuinely comfortable environment. It’s the kind of café I’d confidently recommend to patients leaving a hearing appointment next door — a place to decompress, not one that adds to the load.

The offering
Coffee and cake, done well. Healthy homemade light lunches, delicious snacks, and good options for vegan and gluten free diners. Friendly, relaxed service that matches the vibe perfectly.

Ambient Menu verdict: Hearing-friendly — full capacity with low noise levels. Soft furnishings offset the wooden floors beautifully. An ideal post-appointment café for Allied Health patients in the Unley precinct. Highly recommended.
