Once upon a time, I grew up near @warradalehotel
In my youth, you would come and get typical pub grub, help yourself to a salad bar, and it was noisy and cramped.

In recent years, the venue was renovated and it has one of the biggest beer gardens, a floor plan that has something for everyone (Tavern, bistro, dining room and all) and it had retained a modern vibe which has not aged with the update.

Tonight, I came past on a whim to dine for one – and I was not disappointed. Despite the photos, there were actually a few Monday night diners, but I had the ability to pick a cozy ambient corner, away from the larger groups so that I could enjoy my meal without being overstimulated (it was after work on a Monday after all).

And enjoy my dinner I did! Monday night is pasta night and you definitely get quality and value for $25. Tonight it was Fettucini Carbonara, served with garlic ciabatta and a glass of @wirrawirrawines Sav Blanc. The carbonara was fresh and not at all heavy.

Now, I have been here with bigger groups on weekends when it can get a tad noisy, but tonight, I could hear myself think and I was not distracted by any conversations by nearby tables, and everyone seemed to be able to maintain their conversations comfortably.

The Warradale definitely earned a recommendation for solo dining from me tonight. Let me know if you have experienced similar!
