Has anyone been to the Torrens Arms at Mitcham?

The Torrens Arms Hotel is a family-owned pub that cherishes good food, cold beer, and local wine.

Known for their weekly deals including Monday Burger Night, Tuesday Parmy Night, and Thursday Steak Nights, the TA Bar & Courtyard is the perfect spot to catch a game, enjoy pub grub, and catch up with friends.

I’ve been here twice. The first time was a friendly catch-up in the restaurant, and the second time in the bar (to get their Sunday fried chicken special). Both times were easy to chat.

Monday night = burger special

Restaurant has seniors specials: Lunch everyday and dinner Sun – Thurs.

Food was typical pub food, wouldn’t rave about it, was more interested in talking to my friends 😊 great spot for catch ups with relaxing vibes and lots of different areas to sit.

Ear Bud Q Tip
The restaurant has a little nook with a fireplace, that has always been quiet while I’ve been there.
I’ve never found to the restaurant to be noisy either with well spaced tables and carpet, especially on the lower level.
The main bar can get lively (as they all can), and the outdoor but enclosed sports bar is hit-and miss ambience wise depending on who is also there. The music is at a low level here, but when there is a large group watching sports, the expected noise level accompanies it.

Staff Tips
According to the restaurant staff, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights are not your average evenings. They’re bustling with energy and fun, thanks to the weekly specials. Friday and Saturday nights are your typical lively weekend crowd.
Sunday and Monday are the quietest days.

A great place for a meal after a movie at Wallis cinemas across the road, or for any other occasion for that matter! The TA, as it’s known, has a great menu with daily specials. We had slow cooked roast lamb shoulder & rump steak with mushroom sauce. Both were delicious & tender. Have had their pasta dishes before which are also stunning. We shared a slice of passion fruit cheesecake which finished off the meal perfectly. We had the Killakanoon Shiraz & shottesbrooke rosé – both delicious.
We were there on a Tuesday evening and it wasn’t particularly busy so we had no issues with noise. And I would say it wouldn’t be much of a problem as it is carpeted to deaden the noise. We will keep coming back here on a regular basis.
