This place was recommended to me by a friend, and let me tell you, she was absolutely right about this place.

As soon as I entered, the friendly staff warmly greeted me and escorted me to my table. They took the time to guide me through the menu, ensuring I had a pleasant dining experience right from the start.

I ate: the Hong Shao Pork Belly Rice Bowl.
It was a delightful combination of fragrant rice, tender Hong Kong Shao Pork that melted in my mouth, tangy pickled daikon, a fresh micro salad, crisp apple, and shallots, all generously coated in their signature sauce. Every bite was an absolute delight, with amazing flavors that showcased their attention to detail without going overboard.

The service: Friendly and attentive. The staff made sure I felt well taken care of throughout my dining experience.

Ambience:
I visited on a Sunday night when the restaurant was nearly fully booked. Despite the crowd, I had no trouble having a conversation. I noticed that even some mature patrons with hearing devices seemed to have no difficulties.
Lighting: Dim lighting outside created a cozy atmosphere, while the interior was well-lit, making it easy to read lips if needed.
Seating: Comfortable padded seats both in the courtyard and along the walls inside.
Access friendly entrance and parking, but shared toilets in the complex.

If you’re sensitive to noise, it’s best to avoid the pergola by the window on Friday and Saturday nights, as it tends to be quite reverberant due to the increased crowd.

During those busy times, sitting outside along the water offers a picturesque view, a dog-friendly environment, and a quieter atmosphere without any speakers. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy your meal while feeling the gentle breeze.

Overall, my visit to The Rickshaw was a memorable one. From the fantastic food to the friendly service and pleasant ambiance, it’s a place I would highly recommend to any food enthusiast looking for a delightful dining experience.
