The finest of fine dining experiences in South Australia. @thelittlerickshaw in the heart of Aldinga handcrafts a modern south-east asian shared style menu. The meals are very well prepared and presented in a classy manner with strong spices, bold flavours and complex textures.
The small, yet cosy setting which seats about 35 people creates an engaging atmosphere with character and charm. The dim mood lighting adds to the pleasant ambient environment.
It’s easy to see why the Little Rickshaw was named in SA’s top 10 restaurants announced by Gourmet Traveller.

Another great point to note is The Little Rickshaw restaurant I believe matches the requirements of @theambientmenu where you can easily hold a good conversation without raising your voice or strain to hear for a peaceful, effortless dining occasion.
Therefore good conversation + good people + good food + good service = a memorable experience.

Towards the end of 2021, we eventually managed to eat at the Little Rickshaw. One reason for the delay was that we had to book well in advance for a Friday night sitting. Two months in fact with a 5pm start!

We spent a very enjoyable late afternoon. Parked our car at the Little Rickshaw, then walked up to the new brewery in Old Aldinga – ‘Kick Back Brewery & Taphouse”. After a couple of beers, headed back down for our early dinner booking.

The restaurant is housed in a old building and has lots of levels, small rooms and partially outdoor dining areas. Inside was tastefully decorated. We chose the ‘Feed Me’ menu – a tailored selection of signature dishes across the menu. The small dishes were imaginative and very tasty.
There are Vietnamese influences, but overall the food is modern South-East Asia.

We need to go back again for a special occasion.
