The food was excellent and so was the service and the cafe is cute, unfortunately the noise was terrible. Wood floors no ceiling battening to dampen the noise. The cafe was full, mid winter on a Saturday morning for brunch and my friend and I sitting across from each other couldn’t hear each other. We swapped to a table in the back room hoping this would improve things but it didn’t until the cafe began to empty. My friend noted that in warmer weather the outside Is a lovely place to sit.

I was looking forward to seeing my bestie all week for brunch. Happy to say that today I could hear her as well as see her here.

Inside and outside, it is informal, and quiet. It has an eclectic beachy, arty feel, I can’t even describe the vibe of this place…… except you do feel relaxed when you walk in.

Although I was too busy chatting (and eating) in the main dining area out the back, apparently there is a great collection of art in the front room which you can peruse while having a chat, a bite, or a coffee.

The Ambience = even though fully seated in the back dining area, with wooden floorboards (normally a disaster for conversation), but I didn’t miss anything. I think the relaxed, beachy, arty, (whatever it is) vibe of the place caused the other diners to keep their voices to a reasonable level, not feeling the need to raise them to be heard and drowning out the next table.

The food = yummo! Who doesn’t love an all-day breakfast? But this was especially good. I may have mentioned before that mushrooms and haloumi are two of my favourite things, and these did not disappoint with my breakfast burger. Apologies for the poor photo quality, I was so hungry I quickly snapped then scoffed.

The service = very quick, friendly staff, I barely sat down and one of the best coffees I ever had was then presented to me.
