We went to check this pub for our environmental group’s monthly meeting as well as a bigger event with presentations. We ate
    – Nasi Goreing (on the spicy side and tasty + healthy
    – Bangers and Mash (on the stodgy side and tasty + a bit less healthy)

The dob must have the largest range of low alcohol beers (10+), wines (100s), and liqueurs (50+) never mind a large dinner menu, lots of different spaces, friendly staff and 100% gluten-free.

I wish I lived in the south west corner of the CBD and this place was my local pub.

Access for wheelchairs is possible via rear coutyard and one front entrance.
It should be an ideal venue for our monthly meetings and a larger event too.

During Coeliac awareness week, I revisited the @DukeofBrunswick. An excellent pub worth mentioning again. The best part is that everything on the menu is gluten-free, which is perfect for those with gluten sensitivities.

The staff at the restaurant are welcoming and attentive and the food is absolutely delicious. Extra bonus, a great drinks selection for those who want a tipple while they eat.

In addition to their fantastic food, this pub is also deaf-friendly. The management and front-of-house staff devoted a weekend to learning Auslan so they can communicate with the deaf community. How amazing is that?

If you’re looking for a dog-friendly spot, the restaurant’s rear yard is perfect.

    EAR BUD Q TIP

The rear yard would be my pick. No loud music in the courtyard, just the gentle murmur of conversation. They have blankets to use if you feel the cold, but if the weather is not permitting…..

The Adelaide Room is carpeted and has brick which absorbs some of the noise. But since I was last here they put in an air hockey table so it may not be as ambient as the last time I ate in here.

But wait, there’s more. They also have an upstairs balcony which is quite ambient also. The road is not too busy so traffic won’t interfere with your conversation.

I really enjoyed my lunch here on Friday. I sat in the Adelaide room which is carpeted and quiet.

The staff are friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend their dumpling soup.

If you are on a gluten free diet, this is the place for you – the whole menu is gluten free!

I was also very impressed to read it is a deaf-friendly venue. Their front of house and management team gave up their weekends to learn Auslan so they can communicate with the deaf community. How cool is that?

And as a pet lover I enjoyed looking at their current art exhibition, yes an art exhibition in a pub! Diners sent in photos of their pets to be turned into a portrait. They are now on display as part of the SALA Exhibition in the Adelaide room with a pet theme.

(If you can’t tell, I really……. really liked this place and can’t wait to bring my son who is obsessed with dogs back to see the exhibition).
