I met with someone from our environmental charity and wanted a quiet place to talk. Indoors was quite full with lots of chat so we decided to sit outside. A bit chilly on a cloudy winter day but quiet.

The two coffees were good. However, my companion did not receive his caramel slice (even after asking staff). He had to go indoors and after lots of convincing, he received it. They insisted on checking the previous 15 receipts before they agreed that I had paid for it! He is a lawyer and joked that he had to provide a signed affadavit to receive his caramel slice….

I need to return on a warm day with a new legal representative.

Fabulous food, wine & views. We were there mid week at lunchtime sitting inside. It was very noisy and hard to carry on a conversation. There was outside seating which would’ve been quieter. We have been there a few times before and hadn’t noticed the noise level as we had sat in different spots. We will keep going there but choose where we sit a little more carefully. It is a very popular spot and you can’t book but we have always managed to get in.
