Now I only stopped in for a coffee at lunch time, I found it moderate at this time…… but you need to read this review and look at the photos from @temptingpalates because the food ‘sounds’ divine.

“I’ve been to in a while. I went on the first night and it’s been rare to find a restaurant that has everything spot on from the first night. Food, service and running it all like a well oiled machine from the moment of dining is an exceptional feat and the joint was packed!

The locals have already embraced Sofia and it’s easy to see why. The vibes are warm and inviting. The staff are confident and friendly who know the menu well.

We chose the $79 pp DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT Dinner option and the best part is we could choose what we wanted to eat. Perfect! You get a choice of 5 Snacks, 2 Mains, 2 Sides, Sofia Bread and Dessert. Great value and it’s one of the best ‘Feed Me’ menus I’ve had in a long time. I certainly did not leave hungry.

Every dish we picked was a winner but for me the standouts were the mini lamb souvlas, scallops, lamb shoulder and the roasted potatoes. The lamb had so much flavour just the way I like it, very Greek style!
I definitely want to return to try some of their other dishes.

Well done to all the staff at Sofia! All the boxes ticked for a new restaurant. Oh and a special mention to Hannah the Hottie who was the most gracious, enthusiastic and entertaining host. You made our night!”

AMBIENCE NOTES
– This place is moderate because it is popular and hasn’t been decked out acoustically.
– The tables are close, and the music is a little too loud to not only drown out the next tables convo, but possibly your own as well.
– Your best bet for ambience is outside, but you are then on Hutt St, so road noise is an issue.
– But from reading @tempting palates review, it may be worth straining to hear a little, but based on the noise reading I took while there, limit to a table of 2 if you want to sit inside.
