At Shiki restaurant you can expect fresh & delicious Japanese food created by talented & friendly chefs. Definitely a nice restaurant to visit, especially if you have guests you’d like to impress with Teppanyaki.

Teppanyaki is a great experience with your own personal chef creating your food in front of you with flair. As you are seated next to the grill, the sizzling can make some noise, but it is bearable.

This place is very popular so it can get lively as the night progresses. Their wine list is extensive, and the noise volume can rise when people indulge in it.

Hot Tip from the manager
Serenity seekers avoid Friday and Saturday evenings at about 8pm as diners can get quite ‘cheerful’ by then. But other times are more conversation-friendly.

The Intercontinental Hotel on North Tce ran a very successful room and dinner package for the Shiki Teppanyaki restaurant. It was so good, we went twice before and after Christmas! The restaurant was full at the 6pm sitting both times, but noise was not unbearable.

It was a real show.

Eight courses and at least three matched wines came with the package. Many courses involved the long term Japanese chef showing his skills.

This was a cultural experience as well as a delicious and entertaining meal.
