The Ripple & Swirl is our closest restaurant to home. It is also not open in the evenings, so I rarely visit.

We popped in for a quick mid week lunch and coffees last week. The squid & chili was surprising tasty. Not deep fried, which was a nice change.

This place is really a fish & chips shop that, over the years, has expanded and added to the menu. In that respect, it is fine abd serves beach goers.

The previous reviewer noted the lack of pleasantries from staff. Unfortunately, this complaint has been know to locals for years and seems to be unchanging.

We went for a Sunday brunch wanting a place with a view. They have outdoor dining but it can be quite noisy with motor bikes & cars flying by. We chose inside also as it was a bit breezy. We did not feel welcomed and they seemed under staffed for such a busy day. It was fairly noisy with hard floors and chairs scraping as people got up. The 4 of us put our order in at the same time and we waited forever for the food to come. When it did come they only brought our friends meal so we said to start. Well they had finished theirs by the time ours finally arrived. So that wasn’t great. But I will say the food was really nice when it finally came. When we left we looked to the staff to say thanks or whatever, but no acknowledgement or goodbye or thanks – We won’t be hurrying back.
