The chicken schnitzel here is very reliable but the hard floors and surfaces make all interior areas way too hard to have relaxed conversation. Really sharp, high end noise. I do enjoy this place but come here less and less because it drains energy trying to hear other people. Outside tables and paying $25/hr to book the business pod are the two options for hearing yourself think.

The Rezz Hotel – A diverse dining experience with something for everyone.

I only stopped in for coffee and cake (which was delish, do recommend the Golden Gaytime Cheescake) and although the volume was moderate on a Sat arvo, I had the opportunity to speak to the manager and get his #hot tips.

Pros:

I had a business meeting here so we booked the pod, great idea for $25 an hour. We had our lunch and coffee served inside the pod, so weren’t bothered by other diners and we could eat and have our meeting.

The dining room – moderate
Well spaced tables, carpeted area, but it was 3/4 full and quite liveley.

Sports bar – moderate
same as dining room

Best bet for ambience would be outside weather dependent.

This is a report on the Rezz – a hotel at Newton. Friendly people, their counter gets busy during peak periods, so ordering early is wise.

Most things on the menu are tasty, including their freshly made lunch items, but I have found their steaks hit and miss with more misses than hits. 🙁

From a noise perspective, inside the main eating areas, it is noisy as, even in the carpetted eating room. However, if you can book an outside table in nice weather or pay $25/hr for the meeting pod, you will have comfortable conversation.

Wine list is okay. But they do have an interesting whisky bar.

This was my first visit to the Rezz Hotel in the NE suburbs. I was invited by an old customer who works nearby, so it was a long way from home down south. First impressions are of a very large italian style facility offering cafe & kids area, Sports Bar an upmarket ‘Z-Bar’ &
Restaurant and even a Salumi at the enterance.

It all looks new, well run and has well spaced tables with pleasing decor.

We chose the restaurant as it was relatively quiet on a work-day lunchtime. What followed was a delicious sea food pasta and chardonnay in quiet surroundings.

I recommend this spot, although it is unlikely that I will venture so far north in a long time!
