I stopped in for coffee and cake for brunch, and stayed so long taking in the view I stayed for lunch too.

Morning time I enjoyed a coffee near the clouds (actually there were no clouds, it was a gorgeous day). Noise wise it was low as it was not busy – but lunch time was quite busy (it was school holidays) so was moderate due to all the kids enjoying themselves.

Ambience: well spaced tables, carpeted along the lower level, floor boards upper level by the service area.

Service: friendly and fast, QR code to order so if you get a table – stay there! It’ll be snapped up real quick if you leave to order your meal. You can also go up to other service area, the choice is yours.

STAFF TIP
Quietest days are mon – thurs.
Fridays – Sunday are busy all day.
Most ambient time is breakfast midweek, preferably before 9am when more people slowly come through.

Had to drop in to recommend coming up to @skypoint_au for a meal if you ever visit Surfers Paradise – definitely a worthy solo dining experience, having a bite to eat in the tallest building in Australia.

This venue is set up to cater for all types of parties and tastes – places to sit and enjoy the view and reflect on your trip, or if you do come with a friend or multiple loved ones there are booths and smaller more intimate tables. You can order direct from your table with a QR code or if you don’t have a credit card, the staff still accept eftpos and cash (a rarity in many venues these days).

What surprised me was the ambience here. Yes, there is chatter and kitchen noise, but I came up here with my daughter and we did not struggle to chat and could hear each other over the background noise.

The kitchen is sensitive to food allergies and intolerances – they didnt even charge extra for making a gluten free schnitzel!

While you may want to take a selfie, if you are by yourself the staff are very accommodating and will happily take your photo to capture the moment.

Tickets can be purchased online in a bundle with Dreamworld tickets, or you may want to look at the Dine With a View option at $45 a ticket, which gives you entry to the tower as well as a $20 dining voucher. Prices for food were really reasonable for Gold Coast prices too.

Make sure you visit if you are in Surfers!
