Jacob, the bar owner is full of surprises and enthusiasm. He is happy to recommend his favourite drinks and his knowledge and passion for the local community is next level.

The wine selection is impressive, boasting a diverse range of options ensuring there’s something for everyone.

Tucked at the end of an alleyway, the thoughtful design is quite charming. As the wine bar had just opened, it was very quiet with staff greatly outnumbering the customers.

I had an interesting chat with the owner, Jacob. He seems to have a wealth of knowledge on all things alcoholic. The wine selection is unusual and intereting. French aperitifs, malt whiskies and rarely seen Madeira fortified wine.

A small selection of tapas style food is available including a tasty veggie cheese toastie. We will go back again, I’m sure.
