Fun fact! @hey carly loves dining out on the Gold Coast, she named her insta page @heycarly because people are always saying ‘Hey Carly, where would you recommend for dinner this week’, hence the name. So when we caught up and she suggested this place, I knew I was in for a treat.

We had the Omekase for $65 per person and it was an absolute delight. You will NOT leave hungry!

With the Omekase they bring you lots of their best selling dishes. So glad we did this, we got to try different things, and was great value.
We ate
🐟 Kingfish Carpaccio with yuzu soy
🍣 Tuna Tartare with crispy rice squares
🦐 Prawn toast
🍗 Tsukune: minced chicken and tare skewer
🦀 Scallop and Crab with spicy aoli, tobiko and chives
🥩 Sizzling wagyu beef with soy butter and eggplant

Every plate was served as if it was a piece of art. Every dish tasted amazing with quality, fresh ingredients.

Also very accomodating of gluten sensitivity in the Omakase menu.

The service = incredible
John and Eileen the owners are just so lovely. They visited every table to ensure everyone was having a good time. The fact there were so many regulars in here on a Sunday night show that they provide something unique that makes you want to come back, again and again.

The front of house staff were also spectacular, friendly and upbeat and they make a great margarita.

Music is at a soft level, delivering upbeat yet chilled vibes.

Perfect date night location or intimate catch up with small group.

EAR BUD Q TIP
The venue is rectangular shaped with larger groups seated at the back, and smaller tables for 2 or 4 at the front. Naturally the front of the place is more ambient, and if you are sound sensitive you can sit outside. In the winter they will turn up the heaters for you.

STAFF HOT TIP
– As with most places, mid week is most ambient with crowds starting to pick up from Thursday night.
– Saturday is the busiest night and can get lively.
– Friday evenings are not as busy so more moderate
– Sunday night has chilled vibes and would suit a more intimate date night with less crowds and more relaxed.
