AMBIENT MENU ACCREDITED

Our highly trained, friendly and motivated staff complimented by elegant surroundings and a sumptuous menu that features the finest local produce will ensure your lunch, high tea or dinner is a very special and memorable occasion.

Only seven minutes from the cbd, with onsite parking including reserved disability spaces and wheelchair access. This innovatively restored former historical residence exudes an atmosphere of harmony and warmth.

AMBIENT MENU ACCREDITATION

This means you can easily converse around a table of six people.

** Advise staff you found them through the Ambient Menu, they know the location of the accredited tables **

** Note the green and yellow ambience ratings for times are the most conversation friendly**

** Avoid high tea sat and sun arvos **

Then, all you need to do is enjoy the company of the people you are there to see AND hear.

    The Lenzerheide has a reputation for being the height of decadence and sophistication. An Adelaide icon known for it’s fine dining, impeccable service and it’s ambience. It’s reputation is well deserved and we were not disappointed.

    Allow me to meticulously break those elements down, piece by piece.

    Service: We were tended to by the lovely Bianca. A testament to why exceptional front of house staff significantly adds to the experience. Each staff member we spoke to engaged with us and made a lasting impression. They were knowledgeable about the menu, friendly and attentive without being intrusive. They anticipated precisely what we wanted at the right time.

    The food: one word = perfection
    We ate:
    The special: Kingfish cerviche with pickled pumpkin and red onion, cured in lime.
    Mushroom Tortellini; porcini, spring onion, mushrooms, egg yolk.
    Barramundi; beurre blanc, mussels, smoked dill, herb butter.
    Confit of duck leg; with cauliflower puree, fennel, orange, cranberry glaze.
    Green beans with, butter, garlic, onion, baby basil.
    Roasted carrots with sweet sambal, blueberry vinaigrette, pepitas, mircoherb.

    The desserts made us feel like royalty;
    I had the Baileys and honey crème brûlée, berry compot, with hazelnut biscotti. And can I say, breaking the top of a crème brûlée with the tip of a spoon is a sound that I relish every time and will never tire of. I’m so glad the ambience allowed for it.
    Hubby partook in a symphony of cheese accompanied by muscatels and muscat.

    As Mark came out with the drinks cart, I’ve never been so happy seeing a trolley coming towards me. And the smile on Marks face as he walked towards us showed he was delighted to share his knowledge with us.

    The ambience: quiet
    It was a beautiful space to admire while we ate. From the crisp white table cloths to the ornate high ceilings centered around the lush botanical atrium and tranquil piano music, everything in this establishment was well thought out and served a purpose. Well-spaced tables, soft furnishings to absorb any noise, comfortable seats and acoustic panels in the tall ceiling ensured not only easy conversation, but comfort while you dine.

    They obviously know that to fully enjoy ones meal, you need to ‘hear’ the crunch of the creme brulee as you bite. Excessive background noise can affect ones sense of taste, and they did not want the ‘din’ to ruin dinner.

    But if you can get distracted by a large group interrupting your dining experience for your next special occasion, private dining rooms are also available if you prefer a more intimate dining experience.

    EAR BUD ‘Q TIP’
    It has been so well thought out that any table will be quiet. But we spoke to Mark, the co-owner and he had some tips:

    Saturday night is always fully booked, so to guarantee ambience perhaps avoid that one time or book a private dining room.

    Weds – Fridays are their quietest times.
    Sunday lunch can get busy but the evening is quieter.

    To summarise my evening in one word: unforgettable. To ensure you have the same experience, simply call ahead to make sure there are no large bookings at the time, and I am sure you will have fond memories of superb food and easy conversation.
