We made an unplanned visit to Jimmy Dean’s at South Adelaide Football Club, in part, as it was in the Entertainment Book. Not much has changed in the last 8-9 years since I last visited. It is a tidy dining room and large with a kids area out the back.

Prices were reasonable, but clearly cheaper with a 20% reduction for members or a $25 Entertainment voucher. We ordered quickly, but it took 45 minutes for our lunches to arrive. We would have loved bread rolls & butter to keep us going but they forgot to serve us until the main meals.

My bean and pea veggie burger was good, but my wife’s lamb shank was tough and sadly ended up unfinished.

Sorry, to say, but I’ll be in no rush to go back.

Second time coming, busy night but able to hold easy conversations with table (8 people), crispy skin salmon was extremely good! There is an outdoor decking for eating also which if weather is good would allow for nice quiet space to have a meal and conversation. Good priced family venue and kids eat free certain nights.

Very family friendly and with that comes lots of family noises. Not for a nice sit down meal full of conversations but definitely great for families. Nice small outdoor area for a quieter setting.

Pub style food and great prices with kids eat free on certain days.
