First impressions are of an old style cafe from the early 1900’s due to it being on Strathalbyn High St. There is lots of space inside and well spaced tables & chairs. It looks a little down on luck, but was reasonably well frequented by locals.

I bought a veggie pasty which was disappointly dry. My wife bought a very tasty beed and mushroom pie. We shared a scone which came with plenty of whipped cream and jam. We did not need that sugar fix but it was the highlight for me at least.

Inexpensive and quick lunch break on the way to the Riverland.

I reckon the 20 or so customers were all over sixty, so things were pretty subdued!
