I walked past this place a dozen times before I realised it existed, up the stairs on level 1.

Guess they don’t need to advertise it, their reputation brings in the customers.

We were greeted by the manager who knew his stuff and made some great suggestions. The food arrived very quick, it smelt, looked and tasted great, well presented and full of flavour.

Ambience: it was not busy while I was here, on the balcony it was ambient even though full. Open air overlooking the esplanade, no speakers and well spaced tables.

Inside it would be moderate if busy due to the layout. It can also be quite busy so recommend booking.

STAFF HOT TIP
The manager said Monday and Tuesday nights are their most ambient, except in the dry / peak season. In winter they are fully booked every night, and acoustically it is very echoey, so not a quiet place.

Friday and Saturday nights are without fail, fully booked and lively.

Book ahead to get a table on the balcony for your best bet for an ambient dining experience. The food is worth it!
