I stopped in for a coffee this arvo and it was quiet while I was here.

My pick to dine in would be upstairs (pictured). Soft furnishings, comfy seats, lovely view of Wellington Square. People don’t seem to know it is here, so I could sit in the sun and finish my paperwork in peace.

Downstairs, you’ll find the main dining area with carpeting, cozy booth-style seating along the walls, and soft background music. It was only half full when I was there, and I suspect that when it’s busier, it might get a bit noisy, especially since the coffee machine is located there.

Adjacent to the main dining area is a smaller room with space for just a few people. It was also quiet during my visit, but being near the kitchen, it might be a bit challenging to hear if the kitchen is bustling.

There’s an outdoor seating area, but it’s located along Wellington Square, so expect a moderate amount of traffic noise.

As for the food, I can’t provide feedback, but I can vouch for their coffee – it’s excellent! The service was friendly, and I noticed a diverse range of age groups in the dining room, which is usually a positive sign. It’s especially promising when everyone knows the staff, indicating it’s a place worth revisiting, especially for mature diners.

STAFF TIP
If you want to avoid peak times, brunch is their busiest time.

I was here at 1pm today, and even though this is their busiest day for lunch, the sound level in the main dining room was reasonable during my visit.

Additionally, they’re open for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights. Note: Friday night is happy hour and the after work crowd is likely making the most of that.

Monday nights they host quiz nights (organized by another organization) so that would definitely be more lively.
