Downtown Istanbul is serving up some serious Turkish flavours, and I finally made it in for their incredible ½ Price Pide Mondays ✨ the ultimate comfort food done right 🤩 (All pides are half price, starting from just $12.50) @downtownistanbulbne

I ordered the Özel Pide (house special). It was incredibly delicious and seriously satisfying 😌 and I couldn’t believe the size or value. Just $14.50 for a generous boat of fluffy, golden pide bread (flatbread) filled with Turkish salami, chicken, mushrooms, egg, capsicum and melty cheese. Every bite was packed with flavour and texture 🤤 I highly recommended 🙌🏻♥️

Couldn’t resist starting with their Downtown Trio Dip Platter 😋 I chose Beetroot, Ezme and whipped Bulgarian feta with mint & garlic (love it ❤️). Each dip was rich, vibrant and well balanced, and that freshly baked Turkish bread was a standout too 🤩 Warm fluffy and slightly chewy with a beautiful delicate outer crust, it had the perfect balance of softness and bite. Ideal for scooping up every last bit of dip. Definitely a must order 👍🏻

Of course, we had to try the Krallar Karışık Izgara — the King’s Mixed Grill 🔥 Char-grilled lamb, chicken, prawn and adana shish, all marinated to perfection and served with flavorsome rice with sides. It was juicy, smoky and satisfying 😋 exactly what you want from a Turkish feast.

And no Turkish meal is complete without a strong, aromatic Turkish coffee, plus their Homemade Hazelnut Baklava , served warm with cream and caramel sauce. Rich, crunchy, and generous in portion.

I’m already planning my next Monday visit for more pides, and eyeing off a few more dishes to try 😄
