Visitors were over from Ireland and we went to Comida as it will be the venue for my daughter’s wedding. Party of six enjoyed a tapas share meal with wonderful share plates but the highlight was the chicken and chorizo paella.

A mid week meal with only a few other diners but no issues with conversations for a bloke who should wear his hearing aids but forgets them a lot.

Will be busier and louder for the wedding out in the back gardens.

My business brunch turned into lunch because food like this is meant to be savoured, not hurried.

My friend dined on one of her go-to dishes from Comida, Huevos Estrellados. Crunchy potatoes, chorizo, pork belly, smashed eggs, pickles and aioli.

I enjoyed the tortilla – Spanish omelette, potato & onion, avocado, greens and aioli on sourdough. Of course, with a side of mushrooms

!!! HOT TIP !!! the last two photos are of their picturesque rear yard. Perfect on a day like this for a spot of sun and easy conversation

Comida is hugely popular and very buzzy Spanish restaurant right in the heart of the German tourist town of Hahndof.
They offer indoor and very comfortable outdoor seating options in a gorgeous garden, and I’d recommend outdoors if you don’t like noise.
The food is an excellent example of Spanish cuisine, with a delicious selection of tapas. Their veggie dishes are fantastic and, of course, they always offer an excellent paella.
All of the above can be washed down with a great selection of local and imported wines and beers, plus some pretty snappy cocktails.
