Nestled within busy Hutt St, is this charming little café that has captured my heart, ears, and taste buds. This gem, where I frequently seek solace during my lunch walks, never fails to enchant me with its delightful ambience.

Upon entering, you are immediately greeted by Jin, the owner and chef, who possesses an infectious smile that warms your heart. Jin’s ever-present happiness and eagerness to engage in friendly conversations make him a true beacon of positivity. Even when I’ve had a challenging day, stepping foot into this café and witnessing his radiant face instantly lifts my spirits.

My current obsession: the raspberry lemon croissant. I find it impossible to resist this culinary masterpiece! This croissant is a perfect harmony of textures and flavours. Its exterior boasts a delightful crispness, enticing your taste buds from the first bite. As you delve deeper, the croissant reveals its soft and fluffy interior, providing a heavenly contrast. The fresh raspberries embedded within add a burst of fruity delight, perfectly complemented by the sweet tanginess of the lemon curd. Each bite is a symphony of tastes, leaving you wanting more….. and I have caved and had more….. and more….. and more……

Wednesdays and Fridays are the quietest brunch times

I only stopped in for coffee and cake but I was impressed. Great coffee and a delicious chocolate custard croissant was what was chosen (and there was a lot to choose from).

A smaller cafe, but soft furnishings along the wall in the form of comfy padded seats and pillows. While the floor is bare concrete and walls are minimalistic, it was not loud when I was there.

Seats are well spaced apart, and by looking at the maximum number of seats in the cafe, it doesn’t get busy enough to get rowdy.

This is the reputation for this eatery when I asked my colleagues. A quiet cafe with friendly service, delicious food, and a good meeting spot for business or pleasure.
