Sat night, 6.30pm, in Cafe Aura part of RSL

I visited at peak times on a Sat night. The line up for food was very long because they have something for everyone here. I’ll break down the different areas and talk about their ambience individually.

Cafe Aura – I enjoyed a lovely view of the Caloundra skyline as the sun set.
Acoustics – You’d think from looking at the acoustics (floor to ceiling glass, open plan, tiled floors) that it would be moderate, but it was quiet when I was here at peak times (but not full in this area).
* The carpeted area of cafe aura was the quietest when I was there. Comfy lounge style seating against the wall with the carpet helps to absorb the noise – but it half full when I was there.

Victoria Cross Lounge – large booths that can sit 6 people would be a great spot to sit for easy conversation.

Viva cafe – is carpeted, fully booked, and was lively when I was there. They also have live music on Fri and Sat nights (which is when I was there, but when the musician was having a break it was still lively).

Coffee Shop out the front – quiet. Well spaced tables and carpeted.
