We popped in for a couple of early drinks and pizza from “Beach Road Pizza” which is 4 doors up.

As always, Boomers is a friendly and welcoming place especially for folk like me! One of the regulars was working behing the bar and we had a good chat as she served us drinks.

Remember, that you can walk up to the nearby food outlets and they will delivery it to your table in Boomers. Handy service.

Surprisingly, the music was turned up a levels compared to my normal experience. Perhaps it was because Shelly or Andrew (owners) did not open today?

Penny Red Beer is now one of the regular ales on tap.

Shelly wisely warns that Friday and Saturday nights get lively from 7 pm, creating an energetic environment.
On Sunday afternoons, the live music is chilled, allowing patrons to enjoy the tunes while engaging in board games and conversations.
We were here at live music time and they were playing outside, we sat in the back room and it didn’t affect our conversation as we played games at all.

Most definitely elderly friendly, as its for BABY BOOMERS! However, last night saw a stroller inside and a polite, younger crowd enter later in the evening.

Shelly and Andrew from Mildura moved to Christies recently and had the bright idea of this theme pub. (And no – they do not go around at 8pm to check everyone’s pulse)

Free nuts and nibbles are always provided and topped up frequently. You can also have nearby Seaside Spit or Beach Rd Pizza hand-delivery a takeaway meal to your table in this unusual pub. (No need to slow down the drinking time by getting up).

Theree is one step to enter inside. However, in good weather a lampshade and comfy retro chairs are placed on the footpath for those requiring no steps. Yes, really!

Boomers Bar is a retro bar for baby boomers. As you step through the doors of Boomers Bar, you’ll feel an unmistakable shift in time. Welcome to a place where the clocks are wound back, and the spirit of the 1960s right through to the 1980s comes alive.

There are four beers on tap and are a good selection of unusual, good quality tap beers.

Using QR codes you can order food from four adjacent restaurants – Pizza, burgers, pasta and Greek / Fish & Chips. They will delivery.

I’ve been three times since they opened 4 weeks ago. Music from the era is a bit too loud for my sensitive ears, but not too bad.

l return, as it’s walking distance from home!
