Beckman St Deli is my favourite for its combination of excellent aural ambience and food. Music if on is quiet. Apart from the main room, there is a small ‘library’ with a couple of tables and a nice outside area. It’s very clean, lovely staff and the kitchen opens later than most cafes. There’s a small selection of alcohol. It changes the menu fairly often and in winter has a soup special or two. One thing is never taken off, I think there’d be a rebellion if the egg and bacon roll went AWOL.
