Dropped into this hotel at the last minute for lunch and found the dining room to be very spacious and comfortable. There was an outside area if you prefer to dine alfresco.
Foodwise they had magnificent steaks and the beef schnitzel covered the plate on its own!
It was easy to hear conversation at the dining table and the room was about a quarter full of patrons.
Quite, calm surroundings with delicious pub meals.

The Balhannah Hotel is my local, so I get there fairly regularly. The noise levels vary depending upon whether you are inside or in the great outdoor area, and on how busy it is – but it’s never been too loud for me me.
The food is typical pub-grub, of good quality and the wine list is local and reasonably priced. They have a decent offering, with specials and a couple of vegetarian/vegan dishes.
I adore their chicken parmi, which is excellent, and my husband loves their mixed grill. We are both big fans of their chips, which are great.
