🍷 Explore the art of winemaking at its finest with Angove Family Winemakers!

Where rich history meets contemporary winemaking! Here, you experience exceptional wines in a modern, eco-friendly setting. Bask in the charm and enjoy the view of their organic vineyards while you indulge in a tasting or locally sourced fresh foods.

This was truly a wonderful place! I was very impressed at the venue’s food, staff, and quality of wine! Every dish was delicious, and every single staff member was knowledgeable and passionate about the wine and delivering an outstanding guest experience. Georgie, the chef, even came out to check on how we enjoyed our meals, which was a lovely touch.

Would you prefer a wine flight, brandy flight, whisky flight or gin flight? The choice is yours!

We ate:
Roasted olives with blood orange and fennel seed
Coorong mulloway with mussels, fennel and celery dashi
Charred Coffin bay squid, green harissa, potatoes and mint
Caramelised fig and almond frangipane tart with double cream
Cheese platter – pyengaga cheddar, bleu dávergne/ dellice des cremiers
One word = faultless

Important things to note:
1. Acoustic panelling
2. Larger groups are seated outside. They aim to keep the inside more ambient and conversation friendly.
3. A testament to this is what I call the ‘library corner’. Soft furnishing and booth style seating in what looks like a library. This actually has a psychological effect of keeping ones voice down (very clever).
4. I spoke to the manager, Brett, and this was not done by accident. Groups of 2-4 people are in the ‘library’ dining area with several staff members attending to your wine tasting or meals. Larger groups are outside or seated in the main tasting dining room. They separate this area from the ‘library’ dining room, so people who want a tasting and a lively vibe sit here, people who seek serene vibes and a chilled experience sit in the library region.

It has been done very well.

Families are encouraged to go outside onto the lawned area and kick a ball or play jenga or cornhole, this is also dog friendly area too.

In respect for their calm atmosphere, they refuse bus tours, further adding to the peaceful experience.

Friday during the day and sat lunch are their busiest times. We were here when the restaurant was full, on Easter Saturday, and neither of us struggled to hear each other, and the noise readings I was secretly taking didn’t deviate into the moderate category at all.

If your idea of a good time is a quiet, serene, and delightful wine tasting experience, Angove Wines is your must-visit destination. I wholeheartedly recommend a visit and look forward to returning myself.
