Perhaps due to it being a cold and wet winter’s evening, the restaurant was quiet with only 6 other diners. Our group of four ordered:

    – Pad Lemon Grass with Chicken
    – Chu Chee Curry with Tofu
    – Bangkok Noodles
    – Sweet & Sour fried Squid
    – Roti bread (that was suspiciously like Aldi’s version – who cares it was very tasty)

All were delicious as usual. If course, Ampika’s in the only Thai restaurant with an excellent selection of craft beers on tap. A good combo for me at least.

PS: I asked for the music to be turned down slightly at the start. No problem doing so.

We went back to Ampika’s Kitchen on a chilly Sunday evening for an early dinner.

This restaurant has an unusual, but winning combination (for me at least). A wide range of interesting craft beers on tap combined with authentic Thai food.

If I understand properly, the beer / feed combo resulted from a marriage between an Aussie / Scot bloke and a Thai woman. Australian multiculturalism at its best!

My wife and I shared a wonderful seafood meal called Ho Mok Talay. Plenty for us to share after starters. The younger ones had their own main course.

They also own the Keg and Barrel in Port Noarlunga, which has an even wider range of craft beers.

Delicious Thai food in this restaurant in comfortable surroundings. From curries to Laksa to seafood, the food was great.
Staff were very friendly and served us throughout our stay.
Conversation was good and had no trouble in hearing others at our table.
Have been here before and would come back again, especially in the warmer months.

Delicious Thai combined with good craft beer. A little pricey but always great food. Some limited outdoor seating when weather permits.

The food was amazing. Generous services. I had the Tom Yum Seafood and it was 10/10, then I had the signature dish. I also like the selection of locally brewed beers and wines. Support local and the view of the beach as the sunset was amazing. I will be back

as previously, had tom yum seafood soup for entree, but this time pad thai for my main. A fight ensued the next day who would eat the leftovers because it was so good.
