I am very honoured to say that the Ambient Menu is now a MULTI-AWARD-WINNING website that guides noise-sensitive people to oases of peace so they can talk, connect, relax and be social.
Friday night, I had the privilege of attending another awards ceremony, The Help Awards.

The Help Awards shine a spotlight on people in the community who have shown generosity in stepping up and helping others when times have gotten tough.

I was blessed to be a finalist in two categories, AMP Healthcare Hero and ADL Support Services Wellness and Inclusion. The people who were also finalists were inspirational humans who do so much for the community. Being on the same stage as these people was an absolute privilege. Hubby didn’t capture the look of shock on my face when I won the AMP Healthcare Hero category.
I was thrilled, stoked, and honoured that the judges recognised the value of my mission to make Australia’s eateries accessible to everyone. Those who know me know how much I love food—especially when someone else cooks! It tastes even better when shared with friends, along with the great conversations and connections that come with it. I want to ensure everyone can enjoy this too, regardless of hearing loss, neurodiversity, noise sensitivity, or access issues. That’s why the Ambient Menu includes access-friendly search options, as well as family- and senior-friendly options.

As for me, you know how to help—leave a review on the Ambient Menu website! (I know, it’s a shameless plug, but hey, we’ve got to do what we can to make a difference).
