If you’re after delicious food, amazing service, and easy conversation, Treasury 1860 is the place to be.

We food:
🥩 Dukkah crusted lamb rack, with pickled red cabbage, pea and river mint puree, baby turnips and cabernet jus.
🍽️ Venison shoulder braised with juniper and licorice, celeriac puree, heirloom beetroot, and shaved fennel salad (the photo does not do it justice – it was HUGE)
🥦 Sides of broccolini and green beans as well as duck fat potatoes

The service:
The staff were friendly without being intrusive, making our date night truly memorable. The wine list impressed us, especially the ‘last bottle’ special, which we couldn’t resist trying.

The Ambience:
Treasury 1860 excels in creating a comfortable atmosphere with well-spaced tables, carpeted floors, soft furnishings, and gentle music. The kitchen is set away from the main dining area, ensuring a serene dining experience.

The fine dining atmosphere, coupled with a more mature crowd, ensures a relaxed environment, free from large, boisterous tables.

We started our evening with a pre-dinner drink at the bar, which was equally lovely.

EAR BUD Q TIP
Even on a busy Saturday night, the restaurant was easy to converse in.
The adjacent bar, however, is less acoustically friendly, with floorboards, no acoustic panelling, and closer tables.
When busy, the noise level would be moderate.

STAFF HOT TIP
When the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra is performing next door, the venue gets packed before 6 PM and after 9 PM, making it far from quiet during those times. However, outside of ASO shows and events, the bar and restaurant maintain a lovely, relaxed vibe.

Very quiet inside.
But was not busy.
Able to converse easily on a table for four.
Beautiful food but seemed to have had some new staff. Might be better on other nights.
