I had a lovely lunch here the other day. I was craving a vegetable curry and they delivered.

It’s a nice modern pub with a good lunch menu and some boutique beers on tap. The staff were friendly and helpful, it was a pleasant experience.

There are a variety of places to choose where to sit / dine, so they do have something for everyone. Several quiet and discreet nooks and open areas, a well serviced bar and alfresco area (beer garden) with plenty of seating and greenery.

On this occasion, I sat in the main dining area near the bar. There are soft furnishings, carpet, booth style seating, and it was very pleasant while I was there. But part of leaving ‘Ear Bud Q Tips’ is about digging a bit deeper.

PRO TIP
I spoke to the staff. Lunch is quiet most days, sat lunch can be lively as there are a lot of weddings in the area and groups have a tendency to pop in between the service and reception and can get lively.

Thurs – Sat nights are lively but most other nights are better for conversation.

EAR BUD Q TIP
There is a gorgeous, comfy lounge area near the fire that is the quietest place to eat. It is normally first in, best dressed, but if you call ahead and say you are hard of hearing, they can set it aside for you.

– There is a carpeted front bar / cocktail bar at the front which was quiet when I was there (but it was not busy).
– The beer garden is lovely with fresh air and gas heaters for warmth, but the music is pumping even when not busy (see the attached images of day time versus night time).
– There is also a lovely undercover area in the beer garden, but again music playing enough to raise your voice.
– While the front dining area boasts ample natural light, creating a well-lit and inviting space, it can become quite reverberant and echoey with more than five people present. Keep this in mind if you’re seeking a quieter dining experience.

ACCESSIBILITY
In terms of accessibility, the Bath Hotel Norwood is designed to be welcoming for all. They offer access-friendly facilities, including toilets and a designated car parking area at the rear of the building. This is especially convenient as parking can be challenging in the Norwood area.

Before concluding, it’s worth mentioning that I stumbled upon some mixed reviews regarding the service at the Bath Hotel. However, during my visit, I had a positive experience, and I hope that any previous issues were merely isolated incidents due to understaffing rather than an ongoing problem.

Overall, the Bath Hotel Norwood offered me a delightful dining experience with friendly staff, and a range of seating options to suit your preferences.
