This was a return visit again at the invite of regular diners at the Terre Cafe monthly Friday night dinner. Mexican was the cuisine today.

A limited menu as previously, but not too much to eat of a delicious three course meal. In fact, it tasted much better than any Mexican style restuarant I’ve ever been to in Oz. (Possibly due to the reason that our “Mexican eating places’ are considered as like “McDonalds type standard by Mexican people I’ve met here.

An entertaining quiz which or table won. The prize meant that we did not have to buy a 2nd bottle of wine!

We received an invite to a special Vietnamese Theme Night at Terre Cafe from close family. Normally, this small character-filled cafe/bar closes at 3pm each day. Recently, they started once-a-month Friday evening special dinners with a changing nationality.

Full capacity is around forty at most, which was the case. It seems very difficult to book these evenings, so we were lucky.

Noise level varied between quiet and moderate, but I could almost always hold a conversation without too many problems.

It was tasty and simple Vietnamese food with a fixed menu (see photo). I loved the evening as it was like having dinner in someone’s house. There was an introduction to the evening, a quiz on Vietnam and a very friendly owner (Bec) and table staff. Lots of fun.
