QUIET TIME LISTED

It is ambient and conversation friendly most of the time.

Weekends: Very popular and busy on Saturdays, but less so on Sundays.

Acoustics: It has been acoustically treated by the team from Little Road Studio, created to be friendly on the eyes as well as the ears.

If required, we also have 3 separate rooms in the cottage that can make an even more separated quiet space if people need it.

We had the pleasure of spending an afternoon at Olivers Taranga yesterday.

Perfect weather to enjoy this magnificent view, while enjoying a tasting of their magnificent wines and local produce.

We were served by Mark who gets 11/10 for his service. It was evident that he was passionate about their wines. It was fascinating to hear about the background of the wines, the family history and how they made their own olive oil.

What they don’t do are meals, but what they do do….. and they do well….. is their platters. We enjoyed fresh crusty bread with their own olive oil, locally sourced duck pate, with fresh almonds. The perfect accompaniment to our wine tasting (sorry no photo, it was inhaled).

We ate on the deck and it was low in volume on this occasion. Even though fully booked conversation wasn’t a struggle as it was an open deck and the tables were well spread out.

BUT, indoors was actually quieter and I know why. Marcus from Little Road Studio designed it with soft furnishings in the corner and sound absorbing paneling. This was to minimize interruption from other customers enjoying their tasting experience.

The weather on this occasion was too good to be inside, but inside would be quieter than outside due to what Marcus did with this space.
