It was a noisy environment. The music which was more suited to a rave was loud. We were the first booking and asked to turn it down twice, but wasn’t any less in volume. I asked in the making the reservation, for a “quiet spot”. Also it was noted in the online booking that we were first timers.
It didn’t seem to make a difference. Service was below average, and they weren’t able to accommodate two of the same dish as they didn’t have enough of a vegetable to make a second. For first sitting on a Saturday evening that was poor.
As for the sound it wasn’t quiet at all.

I only stopped in for coffee on my walk, but after seeing this place I’ll be back for dinner.

Outside is a lovely, quiet area adjacent East Terrace and the park. Lovely spot to sit on a sunny winters day.

The main dining room has well spaced tables, and although there is wooden floorboards, there is also acoustic panelling to stop the noise echoing around the room.

On the northern side is a gorgeous bar, lounges and chesterfields to enjoy a light snack (or cocktail) before or after dinner.

Looking forward to coming back for a proper meal, but it was lovely and ambient while I was there, even though the dining room was almost full.
