This establishment is closer to home than any other bar, so I pop in regularly at the weekend. It is run completely by volunteers and is an asset to the area. In addition, I always meet someone that I know.

The Sailing Club runs regular open events with music, which are mainly in summer months, eg. Sunday Sessions at 4pm, occasional Saturday evenings and Big Breakfast on one Sunday a months (See Facebook Page for details).

It can be dead quiet with a handful of visitors. It can also have a very loud rock band with bikers outside. Therefore very variable depending on the type of music and the time of day, and of course if it is open at all.

We ordered a good, bargain ($15) pizza there Saturday evening during a recent music session. A good artist – Steve Earl, but FAR TOO LOUD, so we left as quickly as we could!

Bargain bottled beer ($5-6) so you won’t spend a fortune.

Support your local sporting club and pick your time carefully.
