    They first add cheese and use a blow torch to melt it. You then have it without the rice to taste each ingredient and the flavour. They then add the rice followed by the seaweed. Koreans love their burnt fried rice and they do this by making it flat so now you can get it at Chunky in Adelaide CBD.

    You can also try their other alacarte dishes like these cold noodle soup, dumplings, and kimchi pancakes! We loved their meats for the bbq too. Their pork belly was so juicy and tender.

    Always love coming here because of the food and the decor. This is my third time now. Can’t wait until they announce a surprise in two weeks! πŸ’•

    Earlier this week we had the opportunity to check out @chunkyobbagogi for some Korean BBQ. K-BBQ is always a fun experience with variety in cuts of meats, side dishes and dipping sauce. A very social kind of meal too.

    We had Pork Jowl, Marinated Beef Intercostal and Pork Belly (because no K-BBQ is complete without Samgyeopsal). Of course the Ssam set is a must for your lettuce wraps and vege needs. We also got Gyeranjjim (steamed egg) for that bit more protein.

    We’ve probably gone through almost every Soju flavour but chocolate was a first that night. Also if you haven’t tried Honeycomb Makgeolli do it 🀀.

    Note on Doenjang Jjigae – we got to preview this but it’s not on the menu yet. Hearty stew that goes great with rice. Coming soon!
